I like using data and having structure behind training, but I don't believe in making things complicated for the sake of it. I want you to understand why you're doing a session and what we're trying to achieve, rather than just seeing a workout appear in TrainingPeaks and ticking it off.
Triathlon has been a big part of pretty much my entire adult life. I originally got into the sport because I loved the challenge, but over time that grew into a real passion for understanding it. I wanted to see how good I could become, but also understand how to get there, to learn more about training, performance and myself along the way.
Something I'm particularly proud of is becoming a well-rounded triathlete. I didn't want to just be good at one discipline and get through the other two, so I've spent a lot of time learning how to swim, bike and run well. I've made plenty of mistakes along the way too, and that's taught me a lot about what actually helps athletes improve.
